Software Engineer Student Worker

Join the LEGO Group as a Software Engineer Student Worker and become part of the Data team in the Moulding Analytics Center (MAC). This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the integration of physical and digital worlds in injection moulding and material testing. You will gain valuable experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across various departments and roles.

Core Responsibilities

Support the internal development operations behind systems and new applications.
Develop data visualizations and dashboards to enhance data utilization.
Assist in the daily operations of our issue tracking and knowledge base systems.
Develop, maintain, and document tools to improve departmental operations.
Conduct basic analytics of daily operations.

Department Overview

The Moulding Analytics Center (MAC) is responsible for developing mould parameters and standards for existing and future materials and moulding process solutions. MAC serves as a competence center for one of LEGO Group's core capabilities: Injection moulding. It is responsible for extracting and analyzing data to support data-driven decision-making for engineering solutions across functions.

Requirements

Enrollment in an educational institution during employment as a student worker.
In the second half of a bachelor’s or the beginning of a master’s degree.
Basic skills in Python, JavaScript, or any other object-oriented programming language.
Strong interest in working with hardware (sensors, net routers, and SoCs).
Self-driven, positive attitude, and a team player.
Strong communication skills across various mediums, including written and verbal.
Knowledge of APIs and general web technologies.
Familiarity with version control, CI, and containerization platforms like Docker.
Basic understanding of statistics and interest in working with machine learning models.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work 15 hours a week and be present in the Billund office at least 2 days per week.
