The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking individuals with a strong background in engineering and technology to join our team as Special Agents. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about using their skills to protect the nation and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Key Responsibilities
As a Special Agent with engineering expertise, you will:
- Apply your professional expertise in network security, computer science, software engineering, and mathematical formulation to complex investigations.
- Undergo specialized training and work on some of the Bureau's most challenging cases.
- Be available for temporary duty assignments anywhere in the world, which may include irregular hours and being on-call 24/7.
- Participate in arrests, execute search warrants, and conduct raids.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be between 23 and 36 years old.
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher in IT, forensic science, computer technology, or similar disciplines from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
- Possess a valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience.
- Have two years of full-time professional work experience.
- Be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
Physical and Medical Requirements
- Pass all physical fitness requirements and maintain a high level of fitness throughout your career.
- Pass a medical exam, including visual and hearing standards.
Training and Career Development
- Successfully complete approximately 18 weeks of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.
- Upon graduation, be available to transfer to one of the FBI's 56 Field Offices or remote resident agencies.
