Job Overview
Join PayPal as a Staff Software Engineer focusing on Web SDK development in our Engineering department. This role is pivotal in designing and building the next generation of PayPal’s developer experience. You will be responsible for developing and enabling new payment methods and features for PayPal’s Web SDK, maintaining and contributing to open source projects, and engaging with external developers.
Responsibilities
- Developing PayPal’s Next Generation Web SDK: Work with stakeholders across PayPal to create robust Web SDKs that enable all PayPal has to offer.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with teams like Venmo in design and product development.
- Code Review and Architecture Contributions: Provide feedback on code and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Developer Engagement: Engage with internal and external developers to understand developer pain points and improve the developer experience.
Requirements
- Experience building JavaScript and TypeScript applications.
- Familiarity with developer-facing products like SDKs, REST APIs, or GraphQL.
- Interest in open source and improving developer experiences.
- Ability to keep up to date with industry trends and technologies.
