Job Description
About the Role
Join PayPal's SDK Engineering team as a Software Engineer focused on Web SDK development. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enabling new payment methods and features for PayPal’s Web SDK. You will be responsible for building and delivering features, maintaining and contributing to open source, and engaging with external developers to enhance the developer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build PayPal’s Next Generation Web SDK: Work with stakeholders across PayPal to create robust Web SDKs that leverage all PayPal has to offer.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with teams like Venmo in design and product development.
- Contribute to Code and Architecture: Provide feedback on code and participate in architecture discussions.
- Engage with Developers: Interact with internal and external developers to understand pain points and improve the developer experience.
Requirements
- Experience building JavaScript and TypeScript applications.
- Familiarity with developer-facing products such as SDKs, REST APIs, or GraphQL is a plus.
- Passion for open source and improving developer experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team of talented engineers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Work Environment
PayPal offers a balanced hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace.
