About the Role
As an AI Engineer at Andi, you'll be at the forefront of applying state-of-the-art language models and AI techniques to transform how people interact with information. You'll work on challenging problems in AI search, contributing to our mission of creating a more intuitive and powerful search experience.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement advanced AI/ML features for our search engine
- Develop and optimize large language models, focusing on open-source LLMs
- Apply and innovate with RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering techniques
- Create curated datasets from high-quality sources, and using synthetic generation
- Build and deploy scalable AI-powered backend services
- Collaborate with a small, agile team to rapidly iterate and ship new features
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on NLP and LLMs
- 3+ years in software development
- Strong Python skills and experience with AI frameworks (Langchain, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing and optimizing LLMs in production environments
- Experience with vector databases and efficient retrieval methods
- Familiarity with AWS and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Passion for open-source AI models and staying current with the latest AI research
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for user-centric product development

Location
We prefer candidates able to work in-person in San Francisco, but we're open to remote or hybrid arrangements for exceptional candidates.
