Join Kraken as an AI/ML Engineer I
Kraken Digital Asset Exchange is seeking a talented AI/ML Engineer to join our innovative AI/ML Team within the centralized Data organization. As a part of this team, you will be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge AI/ML technologies to solve complex and exciting challenges in the rapidly evolving crypto industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement ML Solutions: Assist in designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning solutions to solve complex problems and deliver real business value, such as revenue, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business partners to identify AI/ML opportunities for improving operational scalability and efficiency.
- Develop Production-Grade Models: Assist in developing production-grade ML models to power personalized customer experiences, content recommendations, fraud detection/prevention, and more.
- Monitor and Improve Model Performance: Support the monitoring and improvement of model performance through data enhancement, feature engineering, experimentation, and online/offline evaluation.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in machine learning and artificial intelligence, contributing to the growth of AI/ML in the crypto industry.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on learning and skill development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in building, deploying, measuring, and maintaining machine learning models. Experience with GenAI/LLMs in production, both open source and proprietary.
- Programming: Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Go, or other languages.
- ML Frameworks: Familiarity with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch.
- Big Data Tools: Experience or familiarity with Big Data tools like Spark, S3, Hadoop.
- MLOps Platforms: Experience with MLOps platforms such as Kubeflow or MLFlow is a plus.
- GenAI Tools: Experience with GenAI tools like Langchain, LlamaIndex, and open source Vector DBs is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
