Kraken Digital Asset Exchange is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Geo Strategy team. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the world's leading crypto platforms and contribute to our mission of accelerating the global adoption of crypto.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst in the Geo Intelligence function, you will perform advanced business analytics to inform product, customer, and geo-level strategy. This role involves understanding customer journeys, transactional patterns, multi-product usage, and retention/engagement attributes to define geo-specific strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct portfolio analytics across all Kraken customers, analyzing their entire transaction history.
- Define hypotheses with business partners, identify patterns and behaviors, and pitch profit-maximizing initiatives.
- Perform advanced segmentation by behavior and preferences to develop optimal business strategies.
- Build advanced dashboards at the country and portfolio levels for executive stakeholders.
- Lead data workstreams in Test/Learn/Adapt initiatives and present findings to executive audiences.
- Scale analytics capabilities for a team of analysts and strategists, ensuring repeatable analysis.
- Grow the capability based on outcomes, aiming for $1M in revenue opportunity proposed per week.
Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of experience in a data science discipline, with expert-level analytics experience in financial services.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Advanced knowledge of crypto products, revenue models, and industry differences.
- Ability to query and analyze large datasets, finding patterns and answering complex business questions.
- Experience in building dynamic data models and performing multivariate behavioral analysis.
- Strong portfolio analytics skills, identifying business opportunities across multi-year transactional data.
- Experience leading a team and communicating findings to various functions, including product management, marketing, and sales.
