About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Intern Embedded AI & ML Engineer to join our team in Munich, Germany. This role is perfect for someone eager to contribute to the development of next-generation intelligent interactive vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and Integration: Work on integrating and deploying multi-modal sensory information and perception systems, including digital signal processing, pattern recognition, and embedded systems architectures, to enhance human-vehicle interaction.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a highly specialized international team of AI/ML and robotics scientists and engineers.
- Research and Pre-Development: Contribute to applied research and pre-development projects within BMW, working closely with the BMW AI Lab & the RoboTac team at the Technology Group of BMW Center of Invention.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: University degree in electrical/electronic/control engineering, computer science, or a comparable field.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of digital signal processing, embedded systems, hardware programming & architecture, and pattern recognition. Proficiency in ML pipeline development with strong analytical thinking and error analysis skills.
- Programming Skills: Extensive practical experience in embedded hardware systems & ML software development, preferably in C/C++ & Python. Knowledge of microcontrollers and scripting languages is required.
- Software Development: Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices.
