About the Role
Join the BMW Group as an intern in the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence and Visual Computing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Geometric Deep Learning. You will be part of a team that is developing intelligent tools to enhance product engineering and vehicle development.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain insights into developing new technologies for virtual vehicle development at BMW.
- Support the building of proof of concept pipelines using deep neural networks and advanced visualizations.
- Develop novel methods using AI to optimize product development.
- Engage with a young and motivated team at the BMW Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich.
- Conduct research-oriented work with the possibility of a follow-up master thesis.
What We Are Looking For
- Currently studying data science, computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Theoretical knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and optimization.
- Experience with 3D data such as point clouds or meshes is a plus.
- High degree of personal initiative and a strong drive to innovate.
- Business fluent in English; German is a plus.
