Role Overview
As a Backend Engineer at PeopleIX, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our scalable data backend. This role is crucial for enabling our customers to ingest data from various HR, finance, and other business systems into our platform, essentially forming the backbone of our powerful analytics platform.
Responsibilities
- Join our engineering team to develop the backend of our people analytics platform.
- Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party systems in a scalable manner.
- Design and build approaches for data upload in various formats through self-service.
- Structure data in a unified model for analysis, benchmarking, and AI use cases.
- Contribute to our modern tech stack, which includes serverless architecture on AWS (Lambda, SQS, etc.), using TypeScript and/or Python.
- Work closely with our CTO, Product, Data, and other teams to shape the product and define our culture and operational practices.
Qualifications
- M.Sc., B.Sc., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong enthusiasm to learn and a motivated self-starter attitude.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
- Experience with API integrations, serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda), and event-driven architectures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus.
