Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer / Data Engineer at Staffbase, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our products. You will drive the development of scalable and robust backend/data systems, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Guide architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the team.
- Lead by example: Take ownership of the topics you care about, from the features you produce to the quality of our work and the environment we work in.
- Responsible for improving and developing our RESTful web services and Data Platform.
- Give and receive valuable feedback in our code review process, continuously learn and share knowledge with your peers.
- Work iteratively, frequently pushing code, maintaining an efficient CI/CD pipeline, and automating where possible.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for building and a desire to make a difference.
- Experience in Kotlin/Java and Python.
- Ideally, experience with MongoDB, Terraform, Docker, Data Orchestration, REST, and Microservices.
- Preferably, experience in an agile environment.
- Value quality, clean code, and continuous learning.
- Good English communication skills.
- Understanding and appreciation of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
