Position Overview
Piano is seeking intermediate to experienced Back-End Engineers to join our vibrant team in Berlin. This role is crucial for developing scalable APIs and daemons that power our SocialFlow app, which is utilized by thousands of social media experts globally. Our technology handles over a billion clicks per month and sends millions of posts on social media for top publishers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services.
- Work with a variety of databases and maintain critical systems in a Linux environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Document code consistently throughout the development process.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and/or Perl.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Familiarity with AWS and developing backend web services.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with streaming data tools like ZeroMQ, Kinesis, and Kafka.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems (preferably Debian).
Additional Skills (Plus)
- Experience with Redis, Prometheus, Grafana for instrumentation.
- Experience in a multinational setup and working with teams in different locations.
