CB Data Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer (f/m/x) to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, deploying backend services that seamlessly integrate with frontend applications, particularly within a cloud environment. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions to support our web applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs to integrate with frontend applications.
• Cloud Integrations: Develop and deploy backend solutions on Cloud Platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS or Azure) ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend functionality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, UX/UI designers and product managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with comprehensive tests (unit, integration, etc).
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure the reliability and performance of backend services.

Your Skills And Experiences

• Several years of professional and relevant experience in software development and architectures.
• Experience in backend development, with a focus on cloud-based services.
• Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Frameworks and Libraries: Experience with backend frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot).
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud (preferred), AWS or Azure.
• DEVOPS: Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform).
• Databases: Proficiency with SQL is a must (e.g. PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL) and NoSQL is nice to have (e.g. MongoDB).
• Event-Driven Architecture: Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka).
• CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Security: Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with security frameworks.
