About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our Payments team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our payment systems, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience. You will be responsible for architecting and developing backend solutions that drive our payment processes, contributing to increased paid rates and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Payments team to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain and adhere to development quality standards and best practices.
- Proactively suggest ideas and improvements during product and technical discussions.
- Guide and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and experience.
Technology Stack
Our backend stack includes PHP 8.3, Symfony 6.4, MySQL 8, RabbitMQ, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes, all running on AWS. The Payments team also utilizes Serverless, Aurora Postgres, and Eventbridge for specific services. We emphasize automated testing with tools like PHPUnit, PHPStan, Phan, Cypress, and Jest, integrated into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in web application development with PHP.
- Mastery of software design principles and backend application architecture.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Nice to have: Experience with GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS.
