Vori is revolutionizing the grocery industry with our modern operating system designed for small and mid-sized supermarkets. Our platform combines inventory management workflows and a modern point-of-sale system, seamlessly connecting data across the food supply chain. By digitizing manual tasks and streamlining operations, we empower grocers to make precise decisions about replenishment buying, retail pricing, product merchandising, and more.
Your Role
As a Backend Software Engineer at Vori, you will:
- Develop and maintain backend services using technologies such as REST, TypeScript, Node.js, and AGgrid.
- Work on production web services and data systems, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design and implement orchestration, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions using tools like Temporal, BigQuery, and DBT.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software.
- Utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse team.
Qualifications
- Experience developing backend services with REST, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Proficiency in maintaining production web services and data systems, particularly on GCP.
- Experience with orchestration, data pipelines, and data warehousing (Temporal, BigQuery, DBT).
- Strong skills in working with SQL databases, especially Postgres.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bonus: Experience in a hyper-growth startup environment.
- Bonus: Full stack capabilities, including front-end development and data engineering.
