Join Meta as a Biostatistician - Wearable Devices
Meta's Health and Wellbeing team is seeking a talented Biostatistician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with senior members to execute analyses and reporting for digital health projects aimed at improving health outcomes globally. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced statistical software, methods, and techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret research data.
- Advise and assist in the development of inferences and conclusions from research data.
- Execute and evaluate machine learning model performance.
- Maintain high clinical research standards to ensure validity and reproducibility of results.
- Perform data cleaning activities, including handling data discrepancies, missing values, and outliers.
- Collaborate effectively across health and wellbeing research, engineering, and product teams.
- Provide analytic expertise that spans traditional biostatistical and data science methods.
- Stay updated on current and emerging trends in data science.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or another relevant analytic/data science field.
- Relevant experience in data science, biostatistics, machine learning, clinical/health outcomes research, and digital health.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary research and/or product development teams.
- 2+ years of experience with evaluating machine learning models at scale.
- Expertise in execution and reporting of results of digital health research projects.
- Programming expertise in Python and R, with the ability to write reusable and well-documented code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct industrial experience in consumer/digital health and wellbeing product development and/or research.
- Experience in deep learning and PyTorch.
- Experience in developing algorithms and specialized software tools for biomedical measurement data.
- Familiarity with data pipeline and data investigation.

Compensation
- Salary range: €143,000 - €208,000 per year
- Additional benefits include bonus and equity options.
