Conversational AI Engineer
About the Role
Join our team as a Conversational AI Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge AI solutions. This is a hands-on engineering position that requires strong software development skills. You will be responsible for writing production-ready code that is deployed and used by our customers. This is not a research position; instead, you will be actively involved in building our real-time multimodal proactive voice interaction assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Production-Ready Code: Write and maintain code that is ready for production and used by our customers.
- Build Voice Interaction Systems: Take a major role in building our real-time multimodal proactive voice interaction assistant.
- Backend Development: Contribute to our backend codebase that powers our voice interaction system.
- Data Model Design: Collaborate on designing and implementing data models that define the behavior of our assistant.
- Team Collaboration: Work with a high-performing team of passionate engineers.
- Product Development: Opportunity to learn and work on various parts of our product, including embedded devices, front-end, back-end, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of industry experience writing production-ready code in TypeScript.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong development experience in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience in building TypeScript applications that interact with LLMs, including prompt engineering, testing, RAG chunking, and retrieval strategies.
- Solid understanding of data-model design and SQL experience.
- Experience in Python and FastAPI is desirable.
- Proven ability to work in a full-stack environment, developing features on both the backend and front-end.
- Experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable services/platforms.
- Familiarity with production-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in building Machine Learning/Deep Learning systems is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
