As a founding AI engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and deploying innovative solutions that help our clients scale their review capacity, increase accuracy, and enhance coverage without the need for additional hiring.

SafetyKit replaces human Trust & Safety reviewers with language models. Companies like Airbnb and Stripe spend millions of dollars every year on human reviewers to find and remove bad content. We beat humans on price, accuracy, and speed. We are committed to distributing full automation evenly and are hiring the fastest product engineers in the world to ship tools like web crawlers, video pipelines, and no-code workflow builders for instant integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web scrapers, document ingestors, and LLM evaluation tools that are fast and reliable.
- Experiment with and deploy new AI technologies quickly, integrating state-of-the-art open-source vision models.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to invent and ship solutions that allow users to integrate instantly.
Your Skills
- Proficient in TypeScript or able to become proficient quickly.
- Strong knowledge of Postgres and SQL.
- Experience with AWS services like Lambda and Step Functions.
- Creative and careful thinker, capable of breaking new ground and inventing along the way.
- Excited to work in our San Francisco office five days a week.
Bonus Points
- Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup.
- Experience with language models and vision models.
