Join Our Team as a Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tallinn. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and automating our distributed systems for data collection and processing. You will work closely with data analysts and other internal partners to identify opportunities and solve problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Systems: Develop and automate deployment of distributed systems for collecting and processing log events from multiple sources.
- Data Loading and Schema Design: Automate the loading of data from various sources and APIs, and design data schemas for internal data warehouses and SQL databases.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot: Keep an eye on operational or data issues in the data pipelines and provide solutions.
- Collaborate on Architecture: Contribute to architectural plans and implementation for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions.
- Support and Troubleshoot: Assist the team with troubleshooting, researching root causes, and resolving defects.
Requirements
- Experience in Data Modeling: Proven experience in data modeling and working with data warehouses.
- Airflow and AWS S3: Mandatory experience with Airflow and AWS S3.
- ETL Processes: Strong understanding of ETL (or ELT) processes.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python (or Spark) and SQL.
- Snowflake Experience: Experience with Snowflake is required.
- Additional Skills: Experience in DBT and Kafka is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills.
- Mindset: Fast learning ability and an innovative mindset.
