Nextory, one of Europe's largest streaming services for audiobooks, ebooks, and digital magazines, is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to join our team in Stockholm. Our mission is to enrich lives through the power of reading, and we need your expertise to help us achieve this goal.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer at Nextory, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing the data-driven culture within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data services, including data warehousing, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and data quality, are top-notch. Your responsibilities will include building and running data pipelines, data warehouses, and data frameworks, as well as leveraging ML/AI to provide valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all data services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights.
- Utilize event-driven architecture and Kafka Streams for real-time data processing.
- Support the development of a self-service data platform for internal stakeholders.
Who You Are
- You have a relevant educational background and approximately 4 years of experience in data engineering.
- You are proficient in SQL and have experience with Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- You have experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP, and cloud data warehousing solutions like BigQuery.
- You are skilled in operating, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of production-grade software.
- You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and take pride in your work.
