What You’ll Do

• Utilize Datadog’s proprietary data to conduct research as part of your PhD thesis.
• Participate in and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions with Datadog employees.
• Publish articles throughout your studies in collaboration with Datadog.

Research Areas of Focus

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Focus on algorithms at scale and across products, enhancing user experience through search, investigation tools, and conversational bots.
• Autonomous Decision-Making Agents: Develop automated agents that can reason and plan, reducing incident resolution times.
• AI Systems and Infrastructure: Leverage hardware like GPUs and distributed computing to train and deploy large models efficiently.
• Time Series & Anomaly Detection: Use state-of-the-art models to alert customers through monitors and proactive alerts.
• Large Language Models & Applications: Explore generative power in machine learning fields such as time series and causal inference.
• Causal Inference: Apply causal inference models to improve troubleshooting and investigation processes.

Who You Are

• You hold a Master’s degree with a focus on research, Data Science, or AI.
• Your PhD thesis aligns with at least one of the research areas of focus.
• You have experience in one or more of the research areas of focus.
• You are planning to do a CIFRE thesis.
• You are passionate about research and AI.
• You can communicate complex models and ideas to non-technical personnel.
