Our software streamlines, simplifies, and accelerates non-realistic production workflows, dramatically cutting costs for stylized content in animation, film, game cinematics, advertising, and more.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team and help build the foundation of our innovative video stylization and AI rendering technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain REST APIs to interface Mago's app and AI render engine with external platforms.
- Optimize GPU workloads for cost efficiency.
- Maintain our workflow orchestrator and create workflow definitions for AI rendering processes.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Manage and update our Kubernetes clusters, writing specs for various workloads.
- Collaborate with frontend and ML teams to integrate new features into video processing pipelines.
- Write clean, readable, and well-documented code, improving our existing codebase.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Python, OpenAPI, Docker, Git, SQL, and agile workflows.
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with GPU technologies (CUDA) and video processing.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with frontend development (React, TypeScript).
- Familiarity with video editing software and 3D animation tools.
- Knowledge of Stable Diffusion and AI-driven image/video generation.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with changing requirements.
