About the Role
We are seeking a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Next.js documentation site. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with Next.js and is passionate about writing and teaching others, even if they are not an expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and Update Documentation: You will be responsible for keeping the Next.js documentation site content and codebase up to date.
- Public Advocacy: Act as a public advocate for Next.js by creating examples, demos, and tutorials to educate developers about Next.js features and best practices.
- Community Engagement: Triage and address community issues related to the documentation, ensuring it aligns with real-world developer needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Next.js core team to ensure the documentation accurately reflects and supports core features and real-world use cases.
- Review and Refine: Ensure documentation is clear, technically accurate, and adheres to the style guide.
Requirements
- Experience with Next.js and frontend tools like TypeScript, MDX, Markdown, and Git.
- Demonstrated ability in technical writing through blog posts, tutorials, or other forms of documentation.
- Passion for sharing knowledge and helping others learn.

Salary
The base pay range for this role in San Francisco, CA is $115,000 - $170,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
