Enterprise Architect with Data Management Expertise

Job Overview

VASS BeNeLux, in partnership with the European Commission, is seeking an Expert Enterprise Architect to join our team in Brussels. Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Development: Create architecture models that align with the organization’s strategies and goals. Ensure integration of project and program strategies with business strategies and management priorities.
• Data Analytics Improvement: Analyze the current state of HR Family data analytics technologies, processes, and services to identify areas for improvement and develop a plan for future development.
• Transition Strategy: Design the transition strategy from current data analytics tools to the target platform.
• Enterprise Architecture Design: Contribute to the design of HR Family Enterprise Architecture, focusing on data.
• Data Warehouse Architecture: Design Data Warehouse architecture and develop ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources.
• Data Marts and Models: Create and maintain data marts and dimensional models, ensuring they are updated with the latest data.
• Data Integrity and Performance: Implement best practices to ensure data integrity and conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment.
• Data Governance: Participate in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage in technical and business meetings with IT and business stakeholders to identify data needs, clarify requirements, and design solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: Extensive experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse/Data Vault, and using data warehouse and data vault automation tools such as Datavault Builder.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development in Oracle, and other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript. Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Certifications: Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner certification, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, and other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Agile Environment: Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components, SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.
• A valid certification in a recognized quality assurance standard.
• Certification in data and analytics testing (e.g., DAU-CDAT).
