Founding Front-end Engineer

About The Role

Join us as a founding engineer and help build the future of auditing. Our ideal candidate is someone with more ambition than they can realize at their current company. They are looking to start their own company and see this role as a stepping stone. They enjoy working directly with customers, shaping engineering culture, and making a significant impact with the code they write every day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and own the front-end of Agentive.
• Spend an hour each week (on average) with customers to see the impact of your work and learn how we can improve their lives.
• Influence our product strategy, design, and experience with your customer learnings and expertise.
• Contribute to Agentive’s engineering culture now and as we grow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in our tech stack (React, Next.js, and TypeScript).
• Previous startup experience or experience in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to start your own startup are a plus.
• Understanding of modern AI and ML technologies.
• Experience building financial products is a plus but not required.

About The Interview

We like to keep interview loops short and deliver a decision as fast as possible. Here are the steps:

• Overview Call with co-founder (30 minutes)
• Pair Programming (45 minutes)
• System Design Interview (45 minutes)
• Product Sense Take Home Case Study (1 hour)
• Leadership and Drive Interview (1 hour with both co-founders)

For the product sense case study, we'll present you with realistic scenarios you'll face as a founding engineer at Agentive and give you time to reflect on how you would advise we proceed in these scenarios. We'll discuss them together in the leadership and drive interview. No need to submit written answers beforehand.

Decision: we'll get back to you within a week of the final interview.
