Senior Software Engineer (Rails/Vue) - Cloud

Scalingo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and Vue.js to join our growing tech team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing APIs and management interfaces for both internal and external clients. You will work remotely from anywhere in France, with quarterly visits to our main office in Strasbourg.
Key Responsibilities
- API and Interface Development: Design and develop APIs and management interfaces using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js.
- Functional Specifications: Participate in defining functional specifications and collaborate with other teams to address integration constraints.
- Deployment: Deploy new services within the company's infrastructure following the "you build it, you ship it" policy.
- Software Reliability: Improve the reliability of existing software components by monitoring and analyzing platform anomalies.
- Technology Updates: Allocate time for research and maintain project updates, including testing compatibility with new technology versions.
- User Support: Participate in user support rotation and improve public documentation.
- Mentorship: Guide less experienced colleagues and interns, promoting best development practices and contributing to the CI/CD pipeline processes.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience: At least 6 years in a similar role, such as a backend Ruby/Rails or full-stack developer.
- Languages: Proficiency in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and experience with Vue.js.
- Teamwork: Experience working in a team with a rigorous software development approach.
- English Proficiency: Comfortable with written English, as it is the working language at Scalingo.
- Asynchronous Task Management: Experience with asynchronous task management (e.g., Sidekiq, message queues).
Preferred Skills
- ISO Certification: Experience in ISO 27001, HDS, or equivalent certification contexts.
- API Design: Experience in designing HTTP APIs.
- Secure Development: Knowledge of secure application development practices.
