Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

Join Alterra Mountain Company as a Full Stack Engineer, where you will design, build, test, and maintain web applications and services within our ecosystem. This role focuses primarily on the IkonPass.com eCommerce and My Account platforms, contributing to their design, development, and evolution. We seek a business-oriented individual who can contribute technically and fit culturally into our fast-paced, creative, and energetic team.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business and IT customers to design, build, test, and maintain applications for various business units, including resort point of sale, lodging, hospitality, central reservation, and online marketing functions.
Enhance change control processes, quality processes, code repository standards, and other development standards within Alterra Mountain Company's technology ecosystem.
Work as an embedded resource with Alterra Mountain Company's various technology vendors.

Required Skills and Experience

3-4 years of hands-on programming experience.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (ES6/TypeScript), Vite, React/Redux, CSS/SASS, HTML, and Docker.
Experience with data technologies such as Postgres and Redis.
Familiarity with testing tools like RSpec, Capybara, React Testing Library, and CircleCI.
Understanding of REST API Frameworks and API authentication techniques (OAuth2).
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms: Heroku and Azure.
Experience with agile development, continuous integration, test-driven development, Git, PR review, and pair programming.
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
Familiarity with Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.0 Level AA Compliant) and performance testing tools.
Experience working with a UX digital design team.
