About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Hiive, you will be a key player in both the frontend and backend development of our leading fintech platform. You will start by shipping React/TypeScript code from day one, with a strong focus on building customer-facing products across the entire stack, from data modeling to user interface design.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features in both the frontend and backend of our applications.
- Collaborate with product designers to translate design mockups into live, functional interfaces.
- Work closely with product managers to understand user needs and prioritize feature development.
- Engage in software architecture and data modeling to ensure performance and maintainability.
- Learn and apply new programming languages like Elixir and Phoenix, with support from the team.
- Contribute to building a supportive and innovative engineering culture.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience with React and TypeScript.
- Proven track record in backend development using Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with automated backend testing and GraphQL APIs.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Elixir or other functional programming languages.
- Experience in full-stack development, particularly in a fintech environment.
