Full-Stack Engineer - Billing & Marketplaces

About the Role

Neon is seeking a talented Full-Stack Engineer to join our Billing & Marketplaces team. This role is pivotal in developing new billing features, enhancing user experience with consumption metrics, and supporting marketplace integrations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a small, closely-knit team and make a significant impact on our users, many of whom work on JAMstack applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop New Features: Design and implement new features to keep our product ahead of the market.
Integrations: Build new third-party integrations and improve existing ones with key partners.
Collaboration: Work with team members to enhance the product’s architecture and engineering practices.
Code Quality: Write clean, readable code to facilitate code reviews.
Team Growth: Participate in interviewing and hiring new software engineers.
Excellence: Drive excellence through the team and implement best practices.
On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to handle and resolve critical issues.

Required Skills and Experience

Backend Development: Proven experience in developing scalable and robust backend systems (3+ years).
Frontend Development: Experience in developing complex applications using React (1+ years).
Server-Side Expertise: Strong knowledge of server-side development, databases, RESTful APIs, and message buses.
Golang Proficiency: Experience with Golang is highly desirable.
Web Technologies: Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Webpack.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Outstanding communication skills.
Remote Work: Experience working in a fully remote global team.
Language: Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Frontend Infrastructure: Experience with frontend infrastructure, including page loading performance and building frameworks for tests and design systems.
Open Source: Experience with open-source projects and public development.
