About the Role
Neon is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Developer Productivity team. This role is pivotal in supporting Neon engineers to be highly productive by providing the right tooling to test, build, and release code efficiently. If you are passionate about reducing build and Continuous Integration (CI) run times, improving developer satisfaction, and reducing test flakiness, this position is ideal for you.
Responsibilities
- Define and operate GitHub Action workflows or similar technologies.
- Manage build systems for multiple programming languages including Python, Golang, Rust, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Utilize Docker containers and understand Kubernetes concepts to enhance our CI/CD pipelines.
- Collect and analyze data from various systems to make informed decisions that positively affect engineer happiness.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in at least one of the following languages: Python, Golang, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and defining, operating, monitoring, and improving CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and empathy for other engineers.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
