Overview
Join Enterprise Mobility, the world’s largest car rental operator and a leader in mobility and technology, as a Junior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic IT team that innovates, designs, and develops technology solutions that redefine how customers rent, buy, and share vehicles. Responsibilities
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop applications to solve business and technical problems.
- Document and develop well-defined methods, procedures, and programs.
- Engage in hands-on development, including detailed software design, coding with unit tests, and refactoring.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, leads, developers, and business resources to build high-performing enterprise systems.
- Support on-call rotations and troubleshoot production problems.
Qualifications
Required:
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Reside in the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
- Ability to work within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
- Completion of the Enterprise Mobility IT Internship program.
- 1+ year of experience in object-oriented programming (including coursework, boot camps, internships).
- Experience in the full software development lifecycle.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Flexibility in the face of changing priorities and requirements.
- Initiative, results-oriented drive, and a solid work ethic.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily responsibilities.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and JIRA.
- Experience with Postgres or other database technologies.
- Experience with Java, PHP, Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools.
- Experience with AWS, including EC2, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN preferred).
