Job Overview
Elastic is seeking a Kibana Lead Architect to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping the technical vision and architecture of Kibana, a key component of our Elastic Security, Observability, and Search Solutions. As a lead architect, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of a forward-looking, sustainable architecture that enhances the user experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Vision and Architecture: Lead the technical vision and architecture of Kibana, ensuring it meets the needs of our diverse user base.
- Sustainable Architecture: Deliver a sustainable architecture that improves processes, maintainability, testability, re-use, and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other senior technical leaders to align roadmaps and make informed technology choices.
- Community Engagement: Support the contributor community by building engagement, providing best practices, and ensuring alignment with architecture.
- Mentorship: Mentor a dedicated team of senior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a technical leadership role for large, distributed teams, managing projects with over 50 engineers.
- Change Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading architecture evolutions and migrations.
- Technical Skills: Experience building UI, API, and backend platforms targeted at developers.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points
- Experience with the Elastic Stack and Kibana.
- Understanding of UX principles.
- Familiarity with statically typed languages such as TypeScript, Flow, Go, or Java.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Node.js, React, and Redux.
- Experience in Security, Observability, or Search domains.

- Salary Range: $249,700—$394,900 USD, with potential adjustments for select locations.
