Join Elastic as a Senior Software Engineer in Observability
Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Hosted Services team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our Observability product, empowering users to monitor applications in Cloud and Cloud Native environments. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team using tools like GitHub, Zoom, and Slack.
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap Execution: Contribute to the team's roadmap by addressing backlog issues and working on larger projects. Collaborate with product management to define new features and capabilities.
- Code Development: Write and review code to efficiently deliver features. Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and efficiency.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with other teams to define and implement the end-to-end experience for our Observability products.
- Community Interaction: Engage with the community to help them use and love our products.
- Customer Support: Resolve Elastic customer support issues, ensuring SLAs are met.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in 24x365 on-call scheduled rotations with your team.
What You Bring
- Cloud Experience: Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or Cloud Native environments.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Go, with the ability to contribute to codebases in Python, Java, or Typescript.
- Managed Services: Knowledge in building and maintaining managed services, including dev, test, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- SRE Knowledge: Experience in an SRE role or knowledge of SRE practices.
- Open Source Awareness: Stay informed about trends in the Open Source world and the Observability market.
