The Role
We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our Data Science (Geo Vision) team. This team focuses on improving maps and building map-based solutions such as localization, routing, travel time estimation, and traffic forecasting. We utilize Computer Vision, LLMs, GenAI, and conventional machine learning methods to understand locations and road networks.
Responsibilities
- Understand Business Needs: Translate business needs into technical problems and solutions.
- Design Architectures: Develop customized architectures for computer vision and machine learning algorithms.
- Collaborate: Work with software, engineering, and product teams across the company.
- Innovate: Develop innovative solutions using LLMs and GenAI.
- Deploy Solutions: Implement solutions into production systems and ensure their maintenance.
Qualifications
- Deep Learning Expertise: Experience in designing, training, evaluating, and optimizing deep learning networks.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries like OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Machine Learning Methods: Knowledge of classification, regression, and clustering methods.
- Computer Vision Experience: At least 5 years of experience with techniques such as projective geometry, camera localization, motion estimation, and 3D reconstruction.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work with multiple teams and present data insights effectively.
- Innovation: Stay informed about the latest methodologies and architectures in computer vision and deep learning.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with image processing algorithms and numerical optimization.
- Knowledge of camera localization and motion estimation with sensors like GPS, IMU, video, and magnetometer.
