Your Role
As a Lead Full-Stack Engineer at UBS Neo, you will be tasked with designing and developing technology solutions that address significant business challenges and enhance our position as digital leaders in financial services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing user needs and developing new features.
- Applying a broad range of software engineering best practices.
- Ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions.
- Managing and coaching other engineers, providing guidance and supporting their personal development.
Your Team
You will join a multi-disciplinary agile team within the UBS Investment Bank. This team works in close partnership with the business and delivers to production frequently. You will also collaborate with the wider engineering community to extend the platform capabilities and deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
Your Expertise
- Proficiency in Core Java and the Spring Java framework, including JPA.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Fluency in functional and non-functional testing practices.
- Experience with RESTful web services and messaging systems.
- Understanding of observability best practices.
- Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and CI/CD.
- Optional: Experience in cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes.
