Online Banking – Administration Portal

We have built up an application used by employees to administrate the Online and Telephone banking accesses for serving the customers. This application is called "Customer Administration Portal". The basic functions are available for use in Germany. Additional brands, functions, and projects as well as for use in other countries will be added successively.

As a Fullstack Engineer, you will be the Tech Lead in the team. The team wants a Tech Lead who coordinates with the software architects, in guilds for developers, encourages and challenges other developers, helps and seeks solutions and will coordinate the development in an agile environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• As a Lead/Senior engineer for backend and frontend engineering, you will take on technical responsibility in our software development projects and enhance our technical platform together with experienced senior and lead engineers from other teams.
• You are responsible for development of new and existing Online Banking components, such as microservices, and for the continuous data supply to our multi-channel banking platform, which is constantly accessed by our customers and has a high influence on Deutsche Bank's reputation.
• You will contribute your skills and experience to implement business requirements in IT and actively ensure the stability and reliability of existing and new systems. You also feel comfortable with error analysis and test automation.
• You ensure that our backend systems run smoothly even under high loads such as 50,000 - 100,000 customer sessions and 60,000 middleware customer sessions in parallel.
• You act as a contact person for service engineering topics and actively support engineers in our cross-team communities as well as engineers and members of your own agile team.
• You are able to conduct targeted sessions/workshops for various teams in the area of new banking, solve problems or coordinate and advance solutions with other experts and efficiently pass on your know-how.

Requirements

• Wide technical and practical experience as a Senior or Lead engineer in the areas of (web) applications, API microservices, data migration and cloud computing architectures. Your focus is on backend engineering, but you can still provide support on the frontend.
• You know what needs to be done to implement high availability requirements and to avoid both service interruptions and increasing latency during high-load operation.
• Several years of experience and expert knowledge in Java (>11, JEE, Quarkus or Spring), Node.js, SQL and NoSQL, Apache Beam, Angular as well as user knowledge in Atlassian JIRA & Confluence.
• Several years of experience with integration / development tools such as Github / Gitlab as well as models for CI/CD pipelines including automated infrastructure based on Terraform / TerraGrunt, Terraform Enterprise as well as experience with Docker and native Kubernetes processes and their corresponding logging, monitoring and alerting tools such as EFK stack and stackdriver.
• You know how to develop secure applications and can not only name web security requirements, but also have experience in implementing them.
• Very good communication skills in German and English.
