Corporate Bank Phoenix

Within the Corporate Bank Germany, the Phoenix Program is established to focus on the 2029 target operating model, business, and required technical architecture to enable a new level of efficiency and quality of customer experience.

Through the Phoenix Program, our target is to redesign our processes to make efficiency gains and reduce our cost-to-service. At the same time, we aim for a first-class customer experience throughout the entire client lifecycle, starting with onboarding, which will allow us to make better use of our clients' wallets in the long term. We aim to increase scalability through a globally consistent, modern tech and data platform.

In Phoenix, Corporate Bank’s business and DB technology staff work integrated in agile teams, providing engineers a unique opportunity to apply the latest technology while learning about the products and processes of the bank.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document microservice-based & Cloud-native application components that fulfill business and technical requirements like observability, scalability, and stability/resilience.
• Write clear, maintainable, and reusable code and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
• Participate in and actively contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team.
• Work in a cross-disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy, actively engaging in the engineering community, sharing knowledge, and building a solid network.

Your Skills and Experiences

• University degree with a technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience.
• Many years of experience in full stack development of robust and reusable code.
• Proficient with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (preferably React and Node.js).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/4, and web design principles.
• Comfortable with TypeScript (preferred).
• Experience with Java, Spring framework, APIs (RESTful services), databases, Camunda.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments (ideally Google Cloud Platform).
• Good team player who likes to share content and best practices, willing to mentor junior engineers, with good communication skills and fluency in English. German is a plus.
