About the Role
Abridge is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our innovative team. This role is pivotal in advancing our AI-powered platform designed to enhance medical conversations and improve clinical documentation efficiencies. As a Machine Learning Scientist at Abridge, you will be at the forefront of developing state-of-the-art NLP solutions that transform patient-clinician interactions into structured clinical notes in real-time.
Responsibilities
- Advance Medical NLP: Work on cutting-edge projects in medical NLP, including conversation summarization, evidence extraction, and outcome prediction.
- Research and Development: Contribute to the wider research community by publishing original research and sharing insights.
- Problem Solving: Define critical problems, establish baselines, and develop innovative methods to solve them.
- Product Integration: Collaborate with product teams to integrate research findings into real-world applications that impact healthcare professionals.
- Feedback and Iteration: Utilize real-time feedback from clinicians to refine and enhance NLP models.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Research Experience: Proven track record of high-impact publications in peer-reviewed AI conferences.
- Technical Skills: Strong programming skills with experience in deep learning libraries such as PyTorch, Jax, or TensorFlow.
- Real-World Impact: Demonstrated experience in deploying machine learning solutions and contributing to open-source projects.
