Join Our Team as a Senior Backend Engineer
Abridge is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare by enhancing understanding through our AI-powered platform. We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is pivotal in building the data and processing foundations necessary to support our growth.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting robust cloud-native applications, services, and APIs. You will work primarily with Typescript and Node, deploying on platforms like Kubernetes and Temporal. Your projects may include building new processing pipelines or overhauling data storage services to support increasing scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native applications and services.
- Enhance existing systems to improve performance, stability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, machine learning, and platform engineering.
- Research and recommend commercial and open-source solutions.
- Communicate effectively within and on behalf of product delivery teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building and scaling cloud-native systems.
- Experience with Temporal and deploying complex backend systems.
- Passion for engineering excellence and a love for data and architecture.
- Experience in regulated environments, understanding compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days per week in our San Francisco or New York office.
