Remote PHP Software Engineer

About the Role

As a PHP Software Engineer at Feedonomics, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing the features that power our robust and scalable SaaS platform. This role involves building, consuming, and scaling APIs, and requires a strong foundation in full-stack development.

Key Responsibilities

Implement scalable PHP APIs, services, and solutions from concept to production as part of a focused product team.
Engage in various aspects of the software development process, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Collaborate with Senior Engineers during software design sessions.
Work with other Engineers, Product, and Design team members to align on requirements and acceptance criteria.
Support bug fixes and implement enhancements to applications in production.
Write clean, reusable, and quality code, adhering to best practices.
Seek and participate in personal development opportunities to maintain a detailed knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices.
Implement scalable software products in Python.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with software development in full-stack technologies.
1+ years of experience with PHP (strongly preferred).
1+ years of experience with MySQL or similar technology.
1+ years of experience with Python (strongly preferred).
Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and design principles.
Comfortable with using Linux and git.
Ability to perform time and memory complexity analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong technical presentation skills.
BS degree preferred or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
