About the Role
As a PHP Software Engineer at Feedonomics, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing the features that power our robust and scalable SaaS platform. This role involves building, consuming, and scaling APIs, and requires a strong foundation in full-stack development.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement scalable PHP APIs, services, and solutions from concept to production as part of a focused product team.
- Engage in various aspects of the software development process, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers during software design sessions.
- Work with other Engineers, Product, and Design team members to align on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support bug fixes and implement enhancements to applications in production.
- Write clean, reusable, and quality code, adhering to best practices.
- Seek and participate in personal development opportunities to maintain a detailed knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices.
- Implement scalable software products in Python.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with software development in full-stack technologies.
- 1+ years of experience with PHP (strongly preferred).
- 1+ years of experience with MySQL or similar technology.
- 1+ years of experience with Python (strongly preferred).
- Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and design principles.
- Comfortable with using Linux and git.
- Ability to perform time and memory complexity analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong technical presentation skills.
- BS degree preferred or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
