Your Role and Goals
Join Productsup as a Senior Backend Developer and take a pivotal role in enhancing the usability and user experience of our powerful Product-to-Consumer (P2C) platform. You will leverage your extensive experience in PHP and the Symfony framework to drive innovation and efficiency in our product content journeys. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a platform that processes approximately 27 trillion products per year, showcasing our commitment to handling massive data scales efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Build a deep understanding of our product: In your first three months, immerse yourself in our infrastructure and processing pipeline to become a key player in our development team.
- Enhance our core processing pipeline: Collaborate with agile teams to deliver new features and improve existing functionalities, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Develop solutions with the Product Team: From the six-month mark, work closely with our product managers to develop innovative features and optimize processes.
- Mentor and lead: Share your knowledge and expertise with other team members, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
What You Bring to the Team
- 5+ years of experience in PHP development, particularly with frameworks like Symfony.
- A strong commitment to quality and testing, yet maintaining pragmatic and maintainable solutions.
- Proficiency in Linux and Docker, with experience in managing long-running PHP CLI applications.
- Strong skills in MySQL and SQLite, and a solid understanding of API-first development and microservices architecture.
