We are a well-funded, pre-launch company focused on modernizing accounting systems for mid-market enterprises. Our mission is to tackle the outdated systems and poor user experiences that accountants, controllers, and CFOs face today.
About the Role
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building our SaaS product that leverages AI to transform the accounting industry. You will work closely with our experienced founders, who have a proven track record of success, having previously scaled a company to $100 million ARR and a successful exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for our AI-powered accounting platform.
- Manage long-term software development complexity in business-logic heavy projects.
- Launch products from start to finish, including building CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and test APIs, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Manage database systems, including SQL, ORMs, and data migrations.
- Integrate with various third-party services, managing risks and preventing negative outcomes.
- Deploy cloud services using AWS or similar platforms.
- Work at a high velocity, especially on Fridays, to ship products efficiently.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of backend software development experience, including testing.
- Experience in managing software development complexity and launching products.
- Proficiency in building and testing APIs and managing databases.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud services.
- Willingness to work hard and ship products at high speed.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (language agnostic).
