Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing client-facing APIs that will serve our applications, consuming third-party APIs, assisting in ETL processes, ensuring the reliability of the backend system, and building developer tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop APIs to facilitate our client apps' functionality.
- Maintain the existing backend monolith.
- Facilitate the integration between our backend and third-party software providers.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate data from various sources.
- Utilize the existing observability stack to monitor and respond to failures.
- Build internal tooling that is necessary for the operation and usage of our system.
Requirements
Required:
- 3-5 years of Golang experience.
- Experience in designing and developing backend APIs.
- Experience in working with SQL databases.
- Experience with consuming and integrating third-party APIs.
- Ability to design and implement internal developer tooling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Specialization in PostgreSQL (highly appreciated).
- Familiarity with pipeline/jobs libraries (e.g., River, Temporal).
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure tooling (e.g., Terraform).

Compensation
