Your Role and Impact
As a Senior Backend Engineer at HousingAnywhere, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the rental housing industry. You will be part of the Core and Integrations team, a diverse and dynamic group focused on optimizing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across various departments such as sales, customer care, finance, and marketing. Your responsibilities will include streamlining integrations, leveraging technology for automation, and building or improving product features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features using the Go programming language.
- Collaborate with product teams to build scalable, observable, and reusable solutions.
- Draft technical specifications for projects and own the end-to-end delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, mentoring them to ensure the software meets technical standards and project requirements.
Your Profile
- Over 5 years of software development experience, particularly in building distributed systems.
- Strong background in backend engineering.
- More than 2 years of experience with Go.
- Proficiency in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Experience in designing and building simple RESTful APIs used by multiple teams.
- Familiarity with GRPC and Protobuf is a strong advantage.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture is a plus.
- Proven experience in building simple distributed systems and solving complex distributed problems.
- A keen interest in new technologies and a commitment to continuous self-improvement and helping others.
