About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer (GoLang) at Gelato, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying backend services that are crucial to our mission of empowering the creator economy. You will work with a team of talented engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Create backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other engineers in a cross-functional team to build creative solutions and evolve best practices.
- End-to-End Ownership: Take responsibility for the services owned by your team, including participating in an on-call rotation.
- Innovate: Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and are programming language agnostic.
- Educated: You hold at least a B.S. degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
- Adaptable: You can quickly adapt, change, and grow as we scale the organization.
- Passionate: You are passionate about engineering practices like agile, continuous delivery, and test-driven development.
- Communicative: You have strong communication skills and a high level of integrity.
