Join Veriff as a Senior Back-End Engineer
Veriff is seeking a talented and experienced Back-End Engineer to join our dynamic Data Verification team. As a key player in our engineering department, you will be instrumental in developing and extending Veriff's backend technologies, focusing on mission-critical products such as Proof of Address and AML Screening. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications using TypeScript and occasionally Python.
- Produce high-quality, well-tested code with modern abstractions and frameworks.
- Deepen your understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
- Tackle problems of moderate scope, crafting core backend software components.
- Collaborate with other teams, incorporating and sharing innovations.
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Identify and drive changes as needed for codebases, product areas, and/or systems.
- Independently complete features, each with many tasks and milestones.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience building large-scale applications.
- Proficiency in NodeJS using TypeScript and some experience with Python.
- Ownership experience of a specific feature.
- Proven track record in developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working in a scaleup environment.
