ClickUp is seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Services team. As a Senior Software Engineer at ClickUp, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering scalable distributed shared services used by other engineering teams. Responsibilities

• Build upon and integrate customer feedback, both internal and external, into our API tooling and services.
• Create new architectural foundations and mission-critical distributed systems while collaborating with other teams.
• Work within an agile scrum-based engineering team reporting to the Senior Manager of Core Services.
• Uphold the highest levels of customer satisfaction in all tasks.
• Advocate, create, and maintain API governance across engineering through collaboration, automation, and outreach.
• Own integration within our API Gateway layer and API lifecycles from design to production.
• Identify improvements to the design and implementation of various new and existing critical shared services.
• Help grow our infrastructure engineering organization's shared services relied upon by other engineering teams to accelerate product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of API standards, design approaches, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of CAP Theorem and distributed systems design patterns.
• Proficient with TypeScript.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Strong understanding of developer experience in everything you build.

Desirable Skills

• Pragmatic approach to software design, development & delivery.
• Experience working with Kafka and related event-based patterns.
• Experience working with and designing Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns.

Compensation and Benefits

At ClickUp, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation. The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $205,000 per year. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including:
