About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at Wunderflats, you will be responsible for owning and enhancing our data infrastructure. You will optimize data pipelines and empower stakeholders with reliable data to guide our organization as a data-driven entity. This role involves significant collaboration across departments to improve reporting and analysis processes, and to simplify self-service support for all.
Responsibilities
- Own and enhance the existing data engineering infrastructure and database models.
- Construct, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines ensuring timely delivery of clean and accurate data sets.
- Analyze data structures, improve data integration and warehouse performance, and enable quick access to reliable data.
- Collaborate across departments to continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes.
- Document engineering processes, data models, ETL workflows, and changes made to the data infrastructure to facilitate knowledge sharing and data lineage tracking.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering with advanced SQL skills and professional knowledge of Python.
- Strong knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Warehousing design, preferably with BigQuery.
- Experience in creating and improving data pipelines and data sets with transformation and pipeline tools like dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably with GCP.
- Focus on quality, strong analytical skills, and a hands-on mentality to find simple solutions for complex problems.
- Business fluency in English is required.
