About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of crucial backend engineering activities at Kadmos. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an early-stage company environment and is comfortable with change and bringing new ideas to the table.
Responsibilities
- Own the backend: You will be tasked with crucial backend activities such as the generation of reusable libraries, conceptualization, implementation of complex banking components, and integration with different service providers.
- Independence: You'll be given complete independence in your areas of responsibility and should take full ownership of your areas of responsibility, playing a central part in our success.
- Growth: You will directly experience and take part in the scale-up of a high-growth business.
What You Bring
- Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
- Education: Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or physics.
- Skills: Mastery in coding in Java and proficiency in Spring Boot. Deep understanding of current frameworks, SDKs, API standards, and libraries.
- Testing Skills: High level of experience in writing unit, integration, and performance tests with tools such as Junit, Spock, and Testcontainers.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Nice to Have: Familiarity with React and experience in building financial products.
