Consensys is at the forefront of the blockchain revolution, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our MetaMask team. MetaMask is a leading crypto wallet and gateway to the decentralized web, serving over 30 million monthly active users. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing scalable backend services that enhance the security and user experience of MetaMask.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services for MetaMask.
- Work with a distributed, remote team to deliver high-quality software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work U.S. business hours.
Bonus Points
- Experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead.
- Experience with the NestJS framework.
- Understanding of blockchain technology, especially Ethereum.
